About
Echoes of the Circle was founded on a conviction: that beauty is not ornament. It is necessity.
We create exceptional interdisciplinary performance works — works that bind performer and audience through trust, vulnerability, and shared meaning. In an alienated world, we believe the act of gathering together to witness something beautiful and true is itself a radical act.
We bring together artists of exceptional talent and vision. Drawing from music, dance, and the visual arts, our works speak urgently to our time. The journey to production is as vital as the finished work. Rooted in imagination and rigorous collaboration, our process has been supported by Penumbra Theatre, Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, the Barenboim-Said Foundation, Opportunity Fund, Columbia University, the University of Massachusetts Amherst and the Five Colleges, the University of Chicago's Logan Center for the Arts, the Illinois Arts Council, and the Ragdale Foundation.
We are a collective grounded in shared leadership and sustainable practice. We move our audience deeply through the encounter with beauty. We believe the world needs this now.
The National Performance Network is our fiscal sponsor; all contributions are fully tax deductible.
